Fight for Thorold Secondary School continues
Carolyn Goard Thorold Niagara News When John Murray and Michael Charron envision a healthy Thorold, a community high school is part of that picture. "Thorold High is more than just a school in the community. It is our community school," Murray told DSBN officials Tuesday night. Murray, Thorold resident, and Charron, former Thorold Secondary School principal, were two of eight delegates to speak to the Central and South St. Catharines and Thorold Accommodation Review at the District School Board of Niagara's regular board meeting last Tuesday. The review process, which wrapped up last month, put five Niagara high schools-Sir Winston Churchill, West Park, Kernahan Park, St. Catharines Collegiate and Thorold Secondary schools-under the microscope for dwindling enrolment.
